Dental Implants at Georgetown Sleep Dentistry

Georgetown Sleep Dentistry offers expert dental implant services combining specialized expertise with advanced 3D imaging technology. Our approach to dental implants ensures precise placement, optimal outcomes, and permanent tooth replacement solutions.

What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a titanium post surgically placed into your jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. The implant serves as a strong, permanent foundation for a replacement tooth crown, bridge, or denture. The system consists of three components: the titanium implant post placed into the jawbone, the abutment connector piece that attaches to the implant, and the custom crown designed to match your natural teeth.

Dr. Rashid's Specialized Implant Expertise

Dr. Ammar Rashid brings exceptional qualifications to every implant procedure. His commitment to continuing education in the latest implant techniques and materials ensures patients receive the most current, effective care available.

Advanced 3D CBCT Imaging Technology

Georgetown Sleep Dentistry uses state-of-the-art Cone Beam CT (CBCT) technology for implant planning. This advanced 3D imaging provides precise bone measurements showing exact bone width, height, and density in three dimensions. The technology reveals nerve location mapping with the exact position of critical structures like the inferior alveolar nerve, allowing us to avoid these during surgery and prevent complications. For upper jaw implants, CBCT shows sinus cavity visualization, revealing the location and size of sinus cavities. We can identify anatomical variations, blood vessel locations, and bone quality issues that might not be visible on traditional 2D X-rays. Using specialized software, we can virtually place implants before surgery, ensuring optimal positioning for both functional and aesthetic results.

Multiple Tooth Replacement Options

Georgetown Sleep Dentistry provides single tooth implants to replace one missing tooth, implant-supported bridges for multiple adjacent missing teeth using two or more implants, implant-supported dentures for patients missing all teeth in one or both arches (both removable and fixed options available), and All-on-4 treatment that replaces an entire arch of teeth using just four strategically placed implants.

Sedation Options for Implant Surgery

Our certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Firas Al-Qadhi, can provide IV sedation or general anesthesia for patients who prefer to be relaxed or asleep during the implant placement procedure. This ensures complete comfort throughout the surgical process.
